A little bit of transfer gossip, I got from talking to Steve Chettle on Thursday

Mcgoo on his way to Leeds (1m), the Buzz man to replace from QPR, George Friend is definately on his way from Donny for 1.25m, Zac Whitbread also being spoken to (free) however there is prem interest in his signature.

Expect SOD to ask Boro about Stephen McManus an experienced old school centre half but still only 29. Former Celtic captain he would be a great addition..... possible deal involving Miller. Also expect George Friend who has interested Boro as a left back but who SOD converted to centre back at Doncaster.

Friends dad is an Academy Coach at forest (Russ Lovatt) and he says that we are looking to bring Coppel across from Crawley in a DOF role an also sign Crawley centre half Kyle Mcfadzean, we have also had a £200,000 bid for Kyle Benne tt at Doncaster turned down. Kelvin Wilson and Curtis Davies are two other defensi ve targets!

Nottingham Forest have handed a trial to Bader Al-Mutawa and the Kuwait international is hoping to earn a move to the City Ground.

Al-Mutawa currently plays for Qadsia SC and is regarded as one of Asia's top strikers after scoring 39 goals in 118 appearances for Kuwait.

The 27-year-old has also been linked with Spanish side Malaga and he is determined to grasp his opportunity to impress new Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll.

"It's a great honour to be trialling at Nottingham Forest," he told the club's official website.

"The club's reputation for attractive football is well known in the Middle East, and it's exciting to be coming here when a new manager is looking to play the kind of football that I want to be part of.

"I realise that the English Championship has a tough standard of play, but I'm confident that my goalscoring and team-working skills will transfer, and that I can play a major part in Mr O'Driscoll's plans going forwards."

Al-Mutawa was nominated for the Asia Player of the Year award in 2006 and 2010, when he finished second and third respectively, and is due to spend the next month training with Forest.
