| Let's stop knocking a new manager even before he's been appointed. This negativity has been one of the problems at the City Ground. Whoever he is, and I obviously have my preferences, let's give him our full support! | |

Think hoddle was 4/7 with big Mick behind at 13/8 and then keano at 3/1. Wouldnt be averse to Hoddle , but please god no ferguson.Maybe the new owners think if they get Darren Ferguson then he would be able to tap his old man for some young players ?

| Manager choice depends on the plan: 1. Promotion in one season no matter the style ,then McCarthy is probably the one 2. A co-ordinated approach and style which brings players through academy in a more considered way, then Hoddle. 3. Rollercoaster and endless PR and whining when things go wrong, then bring back Mr "Big Chips" Davies Mc Carthy will be a short term solution. Hoddle does not have a great record in the transfer market but is a great coach so we would need a Director of Football. Billy Davies would destroy our academy structure! What and Who do you want? | |

| SC was the right man to help Forest when we had little or nothing to spend.
But who would be the man to lead us with money to spend ?
1 Billy Davies ( available & could do a job at this level not sure about the prem though )
2. Mick McCarthy ( Again available & could do a job at this level not sure about the prem though )
3. Glen Hoddle ( been out of the game a long time & too much like SM )
4. Fergie junior ( Not sure what he has to offer )
5. Alex Mcleish ( Solid but boring choice )
6. Roy Keane ( Done nothing in management )
7. Neil Warnock ( Do we want his type of football ? But would help us get promoted )
8. Harry Redknapp ( OH! YES he's the one we should get, however he has a lot of options as every prem job will be open to his after the job he did at Spurs )

| why on earth is the NEP pushing McCarthy so much?
it seems to me like they just did a random poll looked t a few tweets and ecided he was the man, they they interviewed Kenny Burns to ask him what he thought to try and put some weigth behind it.
there are quite a lot of articles on the NETp site laready, that just seem to have been made up out of nothing

| Well just saw short interview with owners on East Mids Today In terms of the manager, they are apparently in talks with two or three "iconic names" that know the division well and should be sorted in the next 2 or 3 days | |

| There seems to be zero evidence for anyone, why is it looking likely to be McCarthy? Al-hasawi just said they are talking to a few... | |
