To be honest I'm less worried about the football on the pitch than I am the culture shift for these guys. If one of them copes with it I would be surprised...

Oh and fawaz said they would recommend but the manager would have the final say, did he not?

excuse me macnffc, but I am trying (_really_ trying) not to speculate too much and focus on what has actually been said. What I have said is not therefore rubbish, it is eactly the message the new owners have given.

If actions don't meet words, then fair enough you may well end up being right. we won't know that until a manger is actually in place, so imho what you say remains as speculation...for now.

Its horrible to be honest, apparently Sheik Doshi is using MA as Chief Advisor lol!

We want some football, with a new defence in, we'll be better off ATTACKING!

I have TONGUE IN CHEEK for PURE FUN added ALI which previously was for STELLA.

ANYONE GOT ANY FOOTBALL CONTENT OF ANY TRIALISTS?

Looks like half a dozen over here, its an exciting intrigue.

I understand they have to get used the weather and cultures etc, BUT will a couple or three reach a level to compete at the Championship?

Anyone know anything about any of these players that little un looks like Messi to me!

Could not cope with the same as last season the SM disaster.

I am really confident that disaster would equal MID TABLE, get Diadora and there'll be more.

Let’s review The Arabian Knights a week on?

Week 1

1. Positive press conference confirming passion and commitment

2. Honest answer to Mick McCarthy approach

3. MM interviewed. No deal. Wages, Budget, Strategy or not the right man?

4. Thursday new manager with key qualities delivered but under the media radar

5. Players and fans generally happy but media slating the “iconic” appointment!

Analysis

1. Acquisition using Twitter has informed the owners of the club’s culture and preferences.

2. Week 1 has delivered so far.................except iconic!

Conclusion

1. Masterstroke in PR

2. Savvy buyers

Why?

1. Football “drunk” again on the latest Sky “Champagne” contract renewal.

2. “ Mega rich” Arabs buy iconic football club during the transfer “feeding” frenzy.

3. Greedy agents, players, managers and media gravitate towards the next honey pot at Forest.

4. SOD appointed and Forest derided for not appointing the media favourites (unlike Leicester. City).

5. Now no-one knows whether we have a £1 or £10b to invest in the team.

Theory

1. All pre -planned.

2. SOD always the continuity choice as everyone knows why Cotternil Forest turned into Warnock’s Worst Nightmare. SOD ‘s total football tactics. SC great bloke but out of his depth.

3. McCarthy approach the only available manager with a Championship/ Premiership CV that could potentially deliver a one season return to the Premiership.

4. MM ego and demands ( Why 3.) did not fit the club rebuilding business plan.

5. Owners push media spin to question depth of pockets to fund ambitions.

6. SOD appointment has desired media effect. EG. Stephen Dixon Sky News “ I feel sorry for Forest” in announcing SOD’s appointment.

Prediction

1. Forest last season loan player targets now land on sensible terms from clubs.

2. New hungry up and coming targets are secured in knowledge they will get to play football and not compete with inflated stellar ego’s in the squad.

3. We will have the largest squad in the Championship with players from far and wide but all with a point to prove.

4. Norwich and Swansea model but with deep pocket owners investing behind the scenes when required.

5. Premiership in 2 seasons

The seasons bright the seasons Forest!

And the negotiator and inspiration for SOD? Laughing

At least the base will be tuned, added to and retaining the best bits, so its an evolution not a revolution, so good stuff for me, as there is too much good here, to repeat another GreeningMiller Scenario.

However Miller might be monstrous this season!

WHERE'S THE WAD? Guessing game is good! WHO ARE THESE THREE BROTHERS? How much dollar have they? lol!

Reid is looking and sounding DETERMINED, exciting season ahead with no defenders and Arabian Knights, and thats before any signings!

COME ON YOU REDS!

Gunter was waiting for the new owners to become official, to allow him to sign his new contract with Reading, and move from his Forest contract to a Reading one!

Understandable for Premiership Football

Sad as it is, Elv is right.
But the very next person who worships a Forest player is an absolute flocking idiot.
Do not feel 1 iota for players or managers
Just love the club, FULL STOP

Can you really blame him for wanting to play in the Premiership, especially as the deal was done before the new owners arrived on the scene?

Don't know if deal was done, but didn't he wait for owners to be in place for the move? which he was discussing whilst contracted to us? How does that work

Flock Him! Nice Lad, he's far worse than players out of contract allowed to look for employment, he was employed! and the new owners wanted him? like the old owners wanted Wes, in Contract wanted out FLock Um! Very Happy

Disgusted, and then it looks like the new owners wanted to sell him, whilst they were planning a route out?

Owners SHOW US THE MONEY!

It cannot be possible for the Arabian Knights to make a contribution like Miller Derbyshire and Greening's first season with NFFC, it just cannot Very Happy
