No defenders & we play in the US in 10 days

Chambers to ipswich

Lynch to Huddersfield

Lascelles to Spurs

Joel Lynch is undergoing a medical at Huddersfield.

Lynch[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract earlier this summer.

He initially joined Forest on loan from Brighton in 2008 before making the move permanent a year later.

Lynch established himself as a key player during his time at the City Ground and news of his departure will come as a blow.

A number of clubs have expressed an interest in Lynch, but Huddersfield are in pole position to land the versatile defender.

Lynch is currently holding talks with the Terriers and they hope to tie up a deal for the 24-year-old in the next 24 hours.

Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson has been busy in the transfer market so far this summer and he sees Lynch as a key addition to his squad.

Sky Sports understands Tottenham have tabled a bid for highly-rated Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles.

Lascelles is highly-rated at Forest and he made his debut for the club against Burnley[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] in January.

A host of top Premier League clubs have been keeping tabs on Lascelles after catching the eye at Forest.

Lascelles also impressed during a loan spell at Stevenage at the back end of last season, helping them reach the League One play-off semi-finals.

The 18-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at the club and Forest could find it hard to reject a big-money offer for the classy centre-back.

Tottenham are hoping to steal a march on their Premier League rivals by tabling a firm offer for the stopper and are waiting to hear back from Forest.

Any possible deal has been held up by the upheaval at Forest with the club currently in the middle of a takeover by wealthy Kuwait family the 'Al-Hasawi's, but Spurs are keen to win the race for Lascelles by luring him to White Hart Lane.

Lynch going?

This policy of letting players contracts expire, especially the good ones is comical.

Lots to sort out and not much time. pale

Spain play at their level with TWO defenders.

We can play at this level with TWO is the reference.

I personally guarantee we will play with more than FIVE A SIDE and with a defense. Very Happy

What can we do, the period of shall we buy or not buy in play, what can one do?

I still of the opinion that the majority at this level is OK to be very good, add the correct pieces and we'll be competitive at the top of this dire league.

Too much change like SM did again with owners will not make us competitive immediately, Leicester style? last season.

I will stress, we have lost McCleary Anderson? Chambers? Lynch? anyone really bothered?
Also Laschelles to come back on loan?

BUT WHAT IS THE ANSWER? why is negatives always addressed at every opportunity?

OUR SQUAD with the few pieces is overpaid, and underachieving, BD then SM took us down the wrong road,, but now football don't matter, its is now only about the money!

OWNERS WITH MONEY required only? we need to be very very careful here IMO.

I's pick a team from what we have to compete TODAY! Very Happy
